EMBRIOLOGY IN THE QURAN

The Quran and Embriology

The Quran states that the length of lactation for the child is 2 years. This is what the verse 15 of
surah Lukmaan.

31:14 And We have enjoined on man (to be good) to his parents: in travail upon travail did his mother bear him, and in years twain was his weaning: (hear the command), "Show gratitude to Me and to thy parents: to Me is (thy final) Goal.


In this verse, The Quran says that the period of lactation is 2 years or if we convert the period into months it is 24 months.

In verse 14, Surah Ahkaf, the Quran says.




46:15 We have enjoined on man kindness to his parents: In pain did his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth. The carrying of the (child) to his weaning is (a period of) thirty months. At length, when he reaches the age of full strength and attains forty years, he says, "O my Lord! Grant me that I may be grateful for Thy favour which Thou has bestowed upon me, and upon both my parents, and that I may work righteousness such as Thou mayest approve; and be gracious to me in my issue. Truly have I turned to Thee and truly do I bow (to Thee) in Islam."

Simple Mathematical Calculation on The Period Of Pragnancy

The Quran says that the period of lactation is 2 years (24 months) (verse 15, chapter 31) and the combination of lactation and pragnency is 30 months (verse 14, chapter 46). What is percular is the period of pragnancy is only 6 month according to the caclulation here!

Pragnancy and lactation: 30 months

Lactation: 24 months

Hence Prangancy 6 months.

Does the Quran make mistake!. Humanbeing pragnancy is 9 months not 6 months. So The Quran make mistake they claimed. Suppose to be 9 months and not 6 months.

Development of Human Embryo

According to research conducted by the embryologists, the developing fetus is capable of breathing independently in the sixth month because the lung has been developed. Meaning if he or she is born she can survive. Less than six month, the baby cannot survive because he/she cannot independently breathe!
